It is clear that lower taxes lead to more jobs and Pennsylvania’s cigar industry proves that fact. Pennsylvania has no tax on premium cigars and the industry has thrived in the Commonwealth as a result. Four of the eight largest cigar distributors in the United States have headquarters in Pennsylvania. The largest retail cigar marketer in the United States, Cigars International, is located in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania farmers grow tobacco and a number of companies manufacture a total of several hundred thousand cigars here.

In these difficult economic times, Pennsylvania’s leaders need to focus on creating jobs, not raising taxes. Pennsylvania leaders need to say:
No PA Cigar Tax.
